Free Spay & Neuter Clinic

DSC_0068snCompleted.

Dog Corps is proud to announce their first FREE spay and neuter clinic for dogs of low income residents in the Atlanta area. No cost clinics are a highly effective method of encouraging pet owners to sterilize pets. By making these clinics convenient and affordable, the number of unwanted pets can be drastically reduced.

Thank you to the Georgia SPCA and Valuecare Animal Hospitals.

Operation Potcake

Completed.

Potcakes are Bahamian Street Dogs. ‘Potcakes’ got their name as traditionally they were fed the burnt rice at the bottom of the pan. As the human population has increased, so has the edible garbage; in turn the ‘Potcakes’ numbers have swelled. Now many sectors of the Bahamian Government and the community want something done; their island is not so beautiful for the tourists if thousands of street dogs are roaming around. Plus, with a high street dog population, the risk of the spread of zoonotic diseases increases.

Dog Corps. assisted Operation Potcake with their spay and neuter mission in the Bahamas. The mission was a great success and Operation Potcake was able to spay and neuter 2,315 adult dogs and puppies.
